Every lot, accounted for.

Zeal Inventory follows each ingredient from the supplier's certificate to the tin on the shelf. An organic or Fair Trade audit takes an afternoon, not a season.

Built for the questions inspectors ask under USDA Organic, Fair Trade and FSMA 204 traceability.

One record from purchase order to sale

Most producers run five spreadsheets and a whiteboard. Zeal keeps the chain in one place, in the order it happens on the floor.

  1. Step 1 of 5

    Purchase orders

Raise orders against suppliers whose certificates are on file and post the bills to QuickBooks. Certificate expiry is tracked, and the dashboard flags any certificate that runs out within 60 days.

  2. Step 2 of 5

    Receiving

Each delivery becomes a lot with its own number, bin and a snapshot of the certificate it arrived under. Short deliveries and rejections stay on the record.

  3. Step 3 of 5

    Blending

A recipe version draws supplier lots oldest first and writes every gram to the ledger. Yield is declared up front, so a shortfall shows the moment the batch closes.

  4. Step 4 of 5

    Packaging

Pack in-house or transfer bulk to a co-packer and receive the finished goods back. Packed lots keep the batch number as a prefix, so the label reads the same as the ledger.

  5. Step 5 of 5

    Sales

Orders arrive from Shopify or are keyed in, and pick from specific packed lots. When a customer calls about a tin, you know which garden it came from and who else received the same batch.

Built for the questions an auditor actually asks

Certification bodies do not ask for your stock count. They pick a lot and ask you to prove where it came from and where it went. Zeal answers that for USDA Organic, Fair Trade, FSMA 204 traceability, Non-GMO and kosher audits.

Which supplier lots went into this batch, and were they certified at the time?
Backward trace lists every input lot with the certificate snapshot taken at receiving.
Where did everything from that delivery end up?
Forward trace follows a supplier lot through every blend, packed lot, transfer and order.
Does the mass balance close?
Inputs, outputs and loss are computed from the ledger, never from a figure someone typed.

Stock is never edited. It is accounted for.

Nobody types a quantity into Zeal. Receiving, blending, packing, transfers and sales each write a movement to an append-only ledger, and stock on hand is the sum. If a number is wrong, the movement that made it wrong is on the record.
